They both come from Turtle Beach’s Ear Force series, the Elite 800X and the Stealth 500X. The two are wireless gaming headsets, suitable for people who can’t stand getting their cables tangled. Design and Comfort
With a body weight of 13 oz, Turtle Beach Elite 800X is slightly heavier. However, Turtle Beach Elite 800X actually feels more comfortable. It comes with wide ear cups that completely cushion the ears. These ear cups use memory foam to provide the perfect fit, and are covered by black synthetic leather covers that look and feel very nice. The top of the headband is also padded.
On the other hand, Turtle Beach Stealth 500X is lighter at 11.3 oz. But, somehow, it does not provide as much comfort as the Elite 800X. The ear cups use regular foam cushioning and are covered by black fabric covers. It is quite comfortable; the feel is just not as great as the Elite 800X.
You may have noticed that Turtle Beach Stealth 500X comes with an integrated mic. This omni-directional mic is actually removable, so you can just detach it if you are not using it. The mic has good sensitivity to capture accurate and detailed voice, but it is prone to background noise.
On the other hand, Turtle Beach Elite 800X does not have any visible microphone. Does it actually have a mic? Well, it does not have one mic; it has two hidden mics integrated inside the headset.
