Design
Both Steelseries Apex 300 and Steelseries Apex 350 are low-profile membrane keyboards. They are very lightweight, allowing you to take them along easily whenever you go. The low-profile layout is also very nice. Since the keys don’t sit too tall, the travel distance to register becomes shorter, allowing each hit to register more quickly. The W key has distinctive bumps, allowing you to move back your fingers to that position intuitively without looking. The F key and macro keys are ergonomically elevated. However, Steelseries Apex 300 comes with a white backlight, whereas Steelseries Apex 350 comes with a programmable RGB backlight with five independent color zones. You can create a custom color scheme for each of the macro profiles.

Both keyboards support macro. However, Steelseries Apex 300 only has 17 macro keys, whereas Steelseries Apex 350 has 22 macro keys. In addition, Steelseries Apex 300’s media keys are accessed using the modifier key, whereas Steelseries Apex 350 has dedicated media keys for quick and precise control. Each model has the Steelseries key, which enables you to quickly turn off the Windows key to eliminate the risk of accidentally pressing it in the middle of a match.
