Sennheiser Game One vs PC 363D
Choosing between Sennheiser Game One and Sennheiser PC 363D is indeed tricky and confusing. These two headsets are available in the same price range. They look very similar to each other; both are open-back headsets with noise-canceling mics and are widely used by many gamers because of their exceptional audio quality. Still, there are a few distinctions that you should consider when choosing between Sennheiser Game One and Sennheiser PC 363D. What are those distinctions? Continue reading below for the answer!
With or Without a Soundcard?
The very first difference that you need to consider is whether you want to get the headset along with a dedicated soundcard or not. If you don’t have a good soundcard yet on your PC and you want to get the most out of the bucks, Sennheiser PC 363D can be your choice. It comes with a dedicated soundcard. However, the soundcard is not necessarily better than an onboard soundcard. If you really want to upgrade, you will need to spend more money to get a better quality soundcard. If you already have a soundcard, Sennheiser Game One should be fine even though there is no dedicated soundcard.
Connection
Sennheiser PC 363D has been designed to work with PC; the cable included is used for PC and it requires two 3.5 mm ports for the speaker and mic channels. On the other hand, Sennheiser Game One is not only compatible with PC. The model comes with two cables; one for PC and one for console. The PC cable requires two 3.5 mm ports, whereas the console cable only requires a single 3.5 mm port. So, in terms of versatility, Sennheiser Game One is indeed more versatile than Sennheiser PC 363D because the model can work with multiple gaming platforms. Performance
Many users who have tested both products say that Sennheiser Game One and Sennheiser PC 363D are very similar to each other. However, there are a few distinctions. They both have a frequency response range of 50 Hz – 16 kHz, so they should be able to produce similar lows, mids, and highs. But Sennheiser Game One has a higher impedance of 50 ohms, whereas Sennheiser PC 363D’s impedance is slightly lower at 32 ohms. A higher impedance level will cause the output volume to be lower, but it increases audio accuracy. Both are open-back headsets. An open-back design is great to increase acoustic accuracy and comfort, but such design will not block sounds from the surrounding from reaching your ears.
Sennheiser Game One vs PC 363D
Sennheiser PC 363D is only viable if you have a limited budget and need the dedicated soundcard. Otherwise, you should choose Sennheiser Game One. It is more versatile, compatible with multiple platforms, and it has slightly better audio accuracy.
