Logitech G27 vs G29

With the advancement of technology, gaming has got a better recognition for either its prize pool or people’s curiosity about it. There have been many sponsorships that bring up the popularity of the game itself, resulting in the new sport which is known as an electronic sport. Many companies have started to develop its computer devices, and many of them have passed on the traditional equipment and change it into the new version. One thing that has become more interesting in gaming is about the virtual showdown whereas many companies have started to research the possibility and produce the new digital devices for it. There are many types of devices which are the derivation of it like the racing set, flying set, and other interesting sets. In this case, we have two racing sets which both of them are made by Logitech. The first one is Logitech G27 and the second one is Logitech G29. Both products have earned their popularity in the market along with their meticulous design and beautiful advancement. Logitech G27 is the evolving version of G25 which was released back then in 2006. Furthermore, Logitech upgrades it into the g27 version and upgrade it again into the newest one, G29. Logitech G27 offers a smooth and reliable design with very dependable features. Not far from it, the G29 version offers very similar features but with many additions left and right. You can get the new directional pad on the wheel or the separate shifter in the G29 version. So if you want to know more about both products, let’s see the comparison below.

Features
The first thing that becomes the best part of Logitech G27 is its powerful dual-motor force feedback mechanism with its helical gear. This gear will bring a smooth and a very real simulation of the traction loss. After that, Logitech G27 has the six-speed shifter with its pushdown reverse gear which functions as the indicator of the best possible gear in your current situation. There is also the RPM gauge with its LED which is merely made as the decoration. Other features are also there, like the 11-inch wheel with the leather-wrapped rim, steel gas, brake, clutch pedal, and many other attractive features. On the opposite, Logitech G29 offers the new brake, new paddle shifter, and better software for the game. The brake has got a slight modification as it is harder when pressed at the tip and it is also very hard to stop it at the halfway. Though, its brake is still a good product which is soft in the start and hard in the end part. You will also find G29’s paddle shifter is a quarter inch shorter and it is more dampened and less clang. Lastly, the software itself is better compared to what we got in G27. However, it still lacks in some aspects.

Performance
The biggest advantage of Logitech G29 is about its features like the brake, paddles and variation buttons. However, you can’t put aside the G27 version as it performs quite well with then programmable buttons on the wheel and the RPM LED indicator for the user. Although the paddle shifter and brake are lacking from G29, both can still perform quite well when used. Logitech G29 itself has a better showdown with more features like the new brake mod, new shifter paddle, and new button configuration. In term of durability, G29 is more or less the same like G27 as both are made by Logitech which means both are very durable. The downside of G29 is about its price and uncomfortable feeling when you use it. The price is far from what we hope for as it is somewhat too expensive. Likewise, the gear is good, but it is very noisy.

Logitech G27 vs G29
