Both are mechanical gaming keyboard equipped with the Cherry MX switches. But Corsair K70 LUX is slightly more expensive than Corsair Strafe. Design
One of the primary differences between Corsair Strafe and Corsair K70 LUX is the housing material. Corsair Strafe is made of plastic, whereas Corsair K70 LUX boasts an aircraft-grade anodized brushed aluminum frame. Hence, as the effect, Corsair K70 LUX becomes a little bit heavier than Corsair Strafe, but it is also a lot more rugged and durable. Nevertheless, both models have identical fonts on the key caps. Just like Corsair Strafe, Corsair K70 LUX comes with an additional set of gaming key caps. These FPS/MOBA key caps are gray and textured to allow quick, intuitive navigation of your fingers. Wrist Rest
You may have noticed that Corsair Strafe does not come with any wrist rest. On the other hand, Corsair K70 LUX includes a detachable wrist rest. If you often game for continuous hours, you most probably already understand about wrist pain. Even if you sit with the proper body position, your wrists can still get sore from the continuous contact with a solid surface. The soft, detachable wrist rest that is certainly very useful if you often get wrist pain.
Backlight
If you put the two keyboards side by side, you may notice that Corsair Strafe is actually brighter than Corsair K70 LUX. This is true. This is because Corsair Strafe has a white back plate, as opposed to Corsair K70 LUX’s black back plate. The white back plate reflects more light, thus making the backlighting appear brighter than the black back plate.
Other Features
The other features of these two models are largely similar. They both support macro and are programmable using the CUE software. You can also program their lights to suit different setting profiles for different games. Both have additional multimedia keys for quick access – the volume control knobs are especially very practical.
